PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Iconic 230 meters high building located in Houston (USA) built in 1980. In 2008, the owner decided to renew existing Façade Maintenance System with a new static BMU including a glass replacement unit (GRU) with 1000 Lb. capacity. Key challenges were among others the long jib needed (42 meters) and the lack of crane to lift the different components since the building is located in the administrative and commercial heart of Houston. Finally, components were lifted using a special helicopter.
