Contemporary design adapted to the tropical climate
The Aqwa Corporate is an outstanding architectural project designed by Foster + Partners in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Located in the revitalized Porto Maravilha region, this modern office building spans 22 floors and combines elegance, functionality and sustainability. With a height of 95 meters, it stands out for its glass façade that maximizes the entry of natural light and offers panoramic views of the Rio port and the iconic landscape that surrounds the city. Opened in 2017, Aqwa Corporate is an example of contemporary design adapted to the tropical climate.

THE PROJECT
The building incorporates advanced energy efficiency and bioclimatic design technologies, such as landscaped terraces and a natural ventilation system that improves occupant comfort. Designed to house premium offices, it has spacious interior spaces that promote collaboration and productivity. Its strategic location in the port connects it to important transportation hubs and cultural areas, making it a symbol of Rio de Janeiro’s urban renaissance. OUR SOLUTION
The challenge in this project was given by the inclination of the façade, so an inclined guiding system was designed for the nacelle.
The scope of supply for this project was 1 SJ machine with a 15 meter reach.
