THE PROJECT
Opened in 2023, the Katara Towers are an example of innovation and sustainability, incorporating advanced technologies for energy efficiency and state-of-the-art construction materials. In addition to its focus on luxury and hospitality, the resort includes restaurants, spas and recreational areas that cement its status as a world-class destination. This project represents not only Qatar’s urban and economic growth, but also its ambition to stand out as a global leader in contemporary architecture and design.
OUR SOLUTION
This project presented several significant challenges. The first was to design and install some fairly large machines in available spaces integrated into the façade of the building. Another was to design a special monorail for curved lanes and finally the climbing system should be highlighted.
The total scope for this project amounted to two SJ machines and 16 turning tables, in addition to the Monorail with curved rails.
